Banyan Global at the Australasian AID Conference in Canberra

Banyan Global was proud to participate in the 2025 Australasian AID Conference, held in Canberra from December 3–5 at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University. The Australasian AID Conference has established itself as a key annual gathering for international development professionals, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from across Australia, the Pacific, Asia, and beyond.

This year’s conference provided a dynamic platform to exchange insights, present evidence-based research, and foster collaboration on pressing global development challenges. Topics spanned aid effectiveness, climate resilience, inclusive economic development, and private sector engagement—reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of today’s development landscape.

Banyan Global’s Chief Executive Office, Meaghan Smith, represented Banyan Global at the conference. She engaged with attendees, shared learnings from our work, and connected with partners and stakeholders committed to improving development outcomes worldwide. She also met with representatives from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to discuss shared priorities and emerging opportunities in international development. These conversations provided an important space to exchange perspectives on evidence-based programming, learning and adaptation, and partnerships that support development outcomes.

The Australasian AID Conference continues to contribute significantly to the global dialogue on aid policy and practice, bringing together diverse voices to inspire new ideas and collective action. Banyan Global is honored to have been part of this important forum and looks forward to building on the relationships and insights gained in Canberra.
