USAID WEE CoP Learning Event: Increasing Women’s Equitable Participation in Company Leadership, Operations, and Supply Chains (March 2022)

On March 29, 2022, the USAID Women’s Economic Empowerment Community of Practice (USAID WEE CoP) hosted a learning event focused on the findings and recommendations from the USAID WEE CoP’s research on women’s economic empowerment and private sector engagement.

Meghann Jones, Banyan Global Senior Consultant, presented evidence around what drives companies to invest in women’s equitable participation in leadership, operations, and supply chains and highlighted proven, promising, and potential company policies, practices, and programs. Ms. Jones also moderated a discussion with Anouk Heilen, Global Sustainability Director, Social Equity and Inclusion, Unilever; and Simon Taveta, Clean Cooking and Communications Department Head, Somalia SECCCO. Both shared their experiences with increasing women’s equitable participation in their respective companies.
