Banyan Global was the prime contractor for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Advancing the Agenda of Gender Equality (ADVANTAGE) task order selected to conduct a gender analysis of the Civil Works Component for the planned Cap Haïtien Port Rehabilitation and Public Private Partnership Project. The gender analysis assisted USAID/Haiti to identify gender-related needs with a focus on women, children in neighboring schools, and other vulnerable groups, including LGBT and persons with disabilities.  The final gender analysis provided USAID/Haiti with detailed recommendations to design and implement future interventions to offset existing gender-based inequalities around the civil works activities in the port.
