On March 10, 2021, Banyan Global presented findings and recommendations from the Women’s Economic Empowerment and Gender Equality (WEEGE) in Trade Facilitation: The Role of Customs and Border Services report to a global audience of over 100 participants from customs agencies, multilateral organizations, donor agencies, and international development organizations. In partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Banyan Global’s gender analysis technical team discussed how to improve women’s economic opportunities at the border and within customs and border services.
