Banyan Global Develops Gender-Based Violence Analysis and Roadmap in Support of the U.S. Strategy for Addressing the Root Causes of Migration in Central America

In late 2021 and early 2022, Banyan Global collaborated with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Missions in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras to develop a Northern Central America Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Analysis and Roadmap.

The Analysis and Roadmap supports the U.S. Strategy for Addressing the Root Causes of Migration in Central America, and analyzes gaps, drivers, and opportunities in preventing, mitigating, and responding to GBV in the context of migration, while offering a roadmap to inform U.S. government policies and funding.

It forms part of a suite of U.S. government investments in Northern Central America referenced in the recent White House Fact Sheet: Vice President Harris Announces New Commitments Supporting Women’s Economic Empowerment in Latin America.
