USAID/Malawi Learn to Perform Supports Peri-Urban Land Governance Activity with Formative Research for the mHub

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/Malawi Learn to Perform Activity supports the Peri-Urban Land Governance Activity formative research for the mHub, Malawi’s first technology hub that champions development and local technology solutions to build the capacity of local businesses and innovators to create sustainable social and business solutions.

Since April 2024, Learn to Perform has been supporting the mHub with research design coaching and mentoring and review of data collection tools, interviewer training, and fieldwork. In May 2024, Learn to Perform held a collaborative working session with mHub to review and finalize the data collection tools and schedule and the data collectors’ training agenda. The data collectors training took place from May 28-31, 2024, and data collection is scheduled for June 2024.

Learn to Perform developed the technical and management capacity assessment statement of work for the Peri-Urban Land Governance Activity. The assessment will allow USAID to understand the mHub’s capacity and ultimately help achieve its localization goals.

Learn to Perform’s support to the mHub and the Peri-Urban Land Governance Activity is a great example of how Learn to Perform is participating in local capacity strengthening to strive for a more sustainable approach to international development in Malawi.
