USAID/Malawi Learn to Perform Participates in Learning Hour Series for USAID’s Learning and Evidence Month
May is the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Learning and Evidence Month. To commemorate this month, USAID/Malawi launched the Learning Hour Series. The Learning Hour Series provides a platform for sharing evidence and discussing lessons learned from USAID programs.
The Mission’s inaugural Learning Hour, launched by the Mission Director, Pamela Fesseden, took place on May 23. The learning hour featured Banyan Global’s Learn to Perform Activity, which presented the Mission’s integration impact evaluation results based on a study previously conducted by Social Impact from 2014 to 2019. Forty participants from the Mission and implementing partners attended.
Participants drew critical learnings from the Mission’s integration results and discussed methodological limitations of the evaluation design. The Mission Director closed the meeting by inviting greater participation from the Mission staff and the Implementing Partners in the learning hour.
The Learning Hour Series aligns with Learn to Perform’s focus on improving the Mission’s capacity to make data-driven decisions.
