SEEP Women’s Economic Empowerment Working Group Member Day
The SEEP Women’s Economic Empowerment working group (WEEWG) aims to improve the ability of market systems and economic development practitioners to facilitate inclusive, empowering, and sustainable services to women across the globe. On Monday, September 19, WEEWG members from around the world and across numerous SEEP partner organizations will come together for the SEEP Network’s Annual Member day in conjunction with the 2016 Annual SEEP Conference.
The WEEWG meeting will feature an overview of accomplishments in 2016, with sessions on success stories where participants can learn about promising approaches in the field of women’s economic empowerment. The meeting will also include an interactive presentation on USAID’s forthcoming Women’s Economic Empowerment Framework and a participatory work planning session for 2017. Attendees will have abundant networking opportunities during and between sessions to share experiences and promote collaboration. Banyan Global’s Senior Gender Specialist, Lis Meyers, will co-facilitate the WEEWG meeting. Banyan Global has served as a facilitator of the WEEWG since 2015.
