Factsheet: Strengthening the Capacity of the Public Sector in Supply Chain Management and Distribution for Equity in Access to Health Commodities in Madagascar (French)

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Improving Market Partnerships and Access to Commodities Together (IMPACT) program works to improve the health commodities supply chain in Madagascar. As part of the IMPACT consortium, Banyan Global supports financial institutions to improve access to financing for pharmacies, drug shops, and other commercial actors, and also ensures that gender equity and social inclusion issues are integrated into all project activities. This factsheet examines the health commodities market system with an emphasis on the public sector, including IMPACT’s partnership with the Ministry of Public Health, and offers suggestions to address inclusion gaps in order to promote equitable access and use of health products.
