Banyan Global was a subcontractor to Abt Associates on the Zambia Integrated Systems Strengthening Program (ZISSP) under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Technical Assistance and Support Contract, Three (TASC3) indefinite-quantity contract. The program was designed to increase the use of high-impact public health interventions at the district and community levels through a health-systems strengthening approach. ZISSP’s areas of clinical and technical focus included HIV and AIDS; malaria; family planning; and maternal, newborn, and child health and nutrition. The program promoted integration of polices, resources, and service-delivery systems in these interrelated sub-sectors of health care. Banyan Global was responsible for identifying and advising on Global Development Alliances and other public-private partnerships in support of the project’s health objectives.
