The Market-Based Partnerships for Health (MBPH) in India Project

Banyan Global was a subcontractor to Abt Associates on MBPH, a four-year United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded project designed to build on, implement, institutionalize, and scale up market-based partnerships for health in USAID/India’s key priority areas, including reproductive health, maternal and child health, tuberculosis, hygiene promotion, safe water, and HIV and AIDS. The project also explored new commercial-sector opportunities to accelerate public health improvements, especially for low-income and rural populations. Banyan Global assessed and addressed the business constraints that private health providers participating in networks faced in achieving public health outcomes.
