Peace Corps Digital Literacy for Women and Girls Tip Sheet
Banyan Global implemented the global Women’s Economic Empowerment and Equality Technical Assistance (WE3 TA) task order, awarded through the Advancing the Agenda of Gender Equality (ADVANTAGE) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. With the direction of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Bureau for Economic Growth, Education, and Environment, Office of Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (E3/GenDev), Banyan Global provided advisory services to stakeholders to better analyze, design, implement, and monitor interventions addressing women’s economic empowerment and equality constraints and opportunities in support of USAID’s Gender Equality and Female Empowerment Policy.
Under WE3 TA, Banyan Global created a practical “digital literacy for women and girls” tip sheet for Peace Corps volunteers and their community counterparts. The tip sheet will assist volunteers and their counterparts to conduct a gender analysis of digital literacy issues and apply learnings from the gender analysis to the design and implementation of activities. It is designed to be used as a companion piece to the Peace Corps’ Participatory Analysis for Community Action (PACA) Field Guide for Volunteers and offers practical steps, strategies, and resources to ensure that any digital literacy activities are gender inclusive.
