Health Sector Financing Reform (HSFR) Project
The United States Agency for International Development-funded Health Sector Financing Reform (HSFR) project in Ethiopia was a task order under the Technical Assistance and Support Contract, Three (TASC3) indefinite-quantity contract. The project helped the Ethiopian government advance its efforts to create a national health insurance program and implement health-sector financing reforms at the regional level. Banyan Global was a subcontractor to Abt Associates. Banyan Global supported health-sector financing reform by exploring and providing technical assistance to develop innovative public-private partnerships. Banyan Global developed and rolled out a training for public facilities on opening a private wing to increase revenues. Banyan Global also developed and rolled out a training for public facilities on outsourcing services, such as laundry and catering, to the private sector in order to reduce costs and increase efficiencies.
