Banyan Global is hosting a learning event on the importance of promoting self-confidence in gender and women’s empowerment programming in international development. Banyan Global’s Lis Meyers will discuss building confidence through communications workshops, providing practical examples from Southern Africa. The Asia Foundation’s Elizabeth Silva will provide an overview on strengthening women’s leadership through inclusive community mediation programming in Nepal and Plan’s Sue Richiedei will present on empowering women through leadership training and coaching. The event will be moderated by Matthew D. Emry, Gender Advisor, USAID Africa Bureau.
