USAID’s Leveraging Economic Opportunities (LEO) project will host a one-day conference on transforming market systems. This interactive event will feature learning from LEO’s extensive and practice agenda with USAID.

The conference will feature a session devoted to women’s economic empowerment in a market systems approach, part of the first morning workshop on tools, tactics, and lessons from the real world. Banyan Global’s Senior Gender Specialist Lis Meyers will be a featured panelist during this session. She will discuss key considerations and promising examples of engaging and working with men in women’s economic empowerment programming in the agriculture sector using a market systems approach. Ms. Meyers will highlight findings and case studies from a soon-to-be released USAID/LEO technical brief on the subject matter.
