USAID/Nigeria Health Workforce Management Activity worked closely with Ebonyi State College of Nursing Sciences (EBSCON) to implement capacity strengthening activities and facilitate a mock accreditation exercise to support the full accreditation of its midwifery program. As a result of these efforts, EBSCON has increased the student enrollment quota for its midwifery program from 75 to 100 students.

USAID/Nigeria Health Workforce Management Activity advocated on behalf of the Ebonyi State Ministry of Health for the procurement of motorbikes for 40 USAID-supported primary health care facilities to support the retention and motivation of medical workers and increase the access to care for patients living in remote and rural communities of Nigeria.
