Tefera Lemi is a beneficiary of the Feed the Future Ethiopia Value Chain Activity (EVCA) and an agro-dealer/animal feed distributor in the Meraro Kebele, located in the Oromia Region. For Tefera, COVID-19 has meant fewer customers and sales due to movement restrictions and transport shortages.

The need to improve access to family planning in rural communities presents a great challenge and, in turn, warrants innovative strategies to help expand access in remote areas. In response, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Improving Market Partnerships and Access to Commodities Together (IMPACT) program in Madagascar has begun to explore the use of drone technology to deliver family planning resources.

As part of the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Honduras, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Empleando Futuros (Employing Futures) project worked with the Honduran National Professional Training Institute (INFOP) and nine other government agencies to coordinate the development of a general manual on the basics of biosafety and a corresponding online certification course.

The 10th World Urban Forum (WUF) will take place on February 8–13, 2020, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. More than 17,000 participants from more than 168 countries will attend the high-level gathering on urban issues. Banyan Global will participate in a panel hosted by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Global Utmaning (Global Challenge), a Sweden-based think tank, on February 9 titled, Achieving Cities for All: Planning for and with Women and Girls.
