Banyan Global has won the Health Workforce Management (HWM) Activity awarded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/Nigeria as a task order under the Integrated Health Systems indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. This five-year, $19 million project will support the establishment of a cost-effective, well-trained, and motivated health workforce in targeted rural and remote areas of Bauchi, Sokoto, Kebbi, and Ebonyi States, as well as the Federal Capital Territory in Nigeria.
More specifically, the HWM Activity will improve the quality of health worker training, strengthen human resources information systems, improve governance and management of the health workforce, and develop and adopt interventions to improve health worker retention. Banyan Global is delighted to partner with USAID/Nigeria and subcontractors Abt Associates, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), and Solina Health on this important initiative.
