Banyan Global wins the Women’s Economic Empowerment and Equality Technical Assistance (WE3 TA) program, awarded under the Advancing the Agenda of Gender Equality (ADVANTAGE) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. WE3 TA is a two-year task order that allows the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Bureau for Economic Growth, Education and Environment, Office of Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (E3/GenDev) to access technical services to increase operating units’ ability to recognize, analyze and address women’s economic empowerment and equality constraints and opportunities. WE3 TA supports USAID’s Gender Equality and Female Empowerment Policy by providing on-demand, rapid response short-term and medium-term technical assistance (STTA) to USAID Bureaus and Missions across sectors.

The project will promote greater attention to WE3 in Agency programming by improving staff capacity, expanding WE3 resources, and enabling GenDev to respond to mission and operating units for WE3 support. WE3 TA will provide direct assistance to missions and operating units to incorporate WE3 into gender analyses, program design, and implementation, by creating and disseminating resources and tools for understanding and promoting WE3 and building the capacity of USAD and Interagency staff, and local country counterparts  – as well as the broader development community – in women’s economic empowerment.
