The Local Health System Sustainability (LHSS) Project in Timor-Leste integrates gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) into all project activities to maximize the effectiveness of programming and strengthen inclusive health systems. The GESI analysis informs ongoing activities with a focus on strengthening health sector governance and workforce management, improving health behaviors, and improving health advocacy and civic engagement for health system strengthening. The GESI analysis was conducted by Banyan Global between June and July 2021 in alignment with the LHSS GESI Strategy.
