Banyan Global is implementing the Gender Integration Technical Assistance (GITA) II Task Order, which provides on-demand, rapid-response, short-term technical assistance (STTA) to United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Missions and Bureaus across multiple sectors and in crisis and non-crisis settings.

Under GITA II, Banyan Global is partnering with USAID/Ghana to conduct a gender analysis to inform the Mission’s 2020-2024 Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS). Using Banyan Global’s tested gender analysis research tools, a four-person research team will analyze gender equality and women’s empowerment advances and constraints within the following key sectors: health, economic growth, education, and democracy and governance. It will also address behavioral change related to gender equality, gender-based violence prevention and response, and self-reliance as key cross-cutting themes. It will concentrate on key variables including youth, region, rural/urban locale, education levels, and marital status. It will also provide strategic and programmatic recommendations across the aforementioned sectors to inform the CDCS.
