Sustaining Health Outcomes through the Private Sector (SHOPS) Plus Project, Botswana
In early 2019, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Sustaining Health Outcomes through the Private Sector (SHOPS) Plus project conducted an assessment in Botswana to identify opportunities for utilizing the private sector in HIV service delivery. Banyan Global led the access to finance component, conducting a rapid assessment of the feasibility of using innovative financing tools, including blended financing, for the purpose of scaling up the private sector health workforce. Based on this assessment, Banyan Global provided USAID/Botswana with concrete recommendations for engaging the private sector.
