On June 8-9, the United States Agency for International Development Honduras Workforce Development Activity, Empleando Futuros, hosted a Leadership for Workforce Development Change program in Tegucigalpa. 25 Honduran leaders participated, including the Minister of Education, representatives of the Honduran National Institute for Professional Development (INFOP), and representatives from Honduras Plan2020, in addition to directors and high-level representatives of chambers of commerce, trade associations, and vocational training institutions.  Over the next 18 months, each leader will develop his or her own abilities and implement specific plans to promote positive change in Honduras’ workforce development landscape, with the goal of better aligning INFOP’s future programs with market needs.
